Pink tentacle

HI All
Well happy new year and all that goes with it, as for me it seems like my muse has finally decided to get her ass in gear and give me some mutch needed insperation, these are the first of a series of inspired pieces, that will deal with my favorite subject matter, ladies and tentacles, yes I know (perv)…..anyways here are the first two, these are straight in acrylic, no digital work has been done to them yet, but they will be undergoing some digital treatment as part of the artworks growth….well keep comming back beacuse this project is going to be a interesting one I have lots of ideas for this one.

Xmas- Drink and Draw get together

Hi All
Well it was the xmas- Drink and Draw get together on Saturday evening, went down a blast, great fun and great talent to be around…so after a couple of ciders my mojo finally kicked in abd here are my doodels for the evening….enjoy.
PS. I will be off on holiday tommorow so no blogg updates for two weeks, but I will be busy creating so expect a super post towards end December.

Man-Bag

Man-Bag
I had this bag for a while now, but it started getting old, so I decided I would paint on it, so this was the outcome, and today my man-bag has finally died the zip broke, and the velcro tabs dont work anymore so I am going to put this one to rest.

Its like I left the planet, stayed in orbit for a month or two then came down again, sorry about the huge delay in postings, my mojo was a little low, I have how ever been busy, so here is a older artwork did it about two month ago, acrylics and brush pen, finished it off digitally.

Sculpt updates

Hi All
Here are some more updates on my sculpt, I decided to give her a manta tail, I have also put on her hands and head, the head I might be shifting it a bit back, for the tail I tried something new by using aluminum mesh to create the barb and then coat it with body filler and shape it, must say aluminum mesh is awsome to use very versitile and easy to sand and shape.

Sculpt process

HI
Okay all the shots are up of my figure sculpt-WIP.
Basically I started with a generic wire armature and sculpted the figure in a standard pose, mutch like how the 3d characters are done in thier generic T-pose before they are posed.
Once that was done I made a mould of the body , using RTV Rubber and pulled a cast using Body filler, the same resin used for repairing dents in cars, its sets fast and is very nice to sand and carve.
I then cut up and repose the body and the sculting begins.
