Zombie Sleeves for Ultrapro

The nice folks at Ultrapro have asked me to create 3 zombie themed sleeves for them.

So these were the rough comps I created focusing more just on a main zombie character , for the 3 images I want to create 3 different types on infected zombie , for example supernatural, Virus infection and mutant type .

For each of the images the client has chosen a colour theme, so these are very rough mock-ups just to illustrate the colour theme of each one, of course when I do the actual artwork there will still be the base colour of the image and the colour theme will be added to that .

So here I have started to work up the backdrop for the first image , its just a rough block out at the moment , I also dropped the zombie girl back in so I can see if she fits with the image. The next phase now is to start the detail work on the back drop.

Upcycling a old table…my side project

have been working on this project on and off over a few weekends or whenever I get a chance , the idea was to take this old little table we bought at a auction and give it a second life. This was a fun project as it had its challenges , but nothing some body filler and sandpaper could not fix.

Here are the step by step photos from start to finish.

PinUp Dolls on Ice

Currently working up the poster for this slasher film this is a fun project and I am really excited to be working on this, the trailer looks really cool . check out the trailer here:

So here are the comps i came up with for the poster

Like the poster for Easter Casket I decided to create a painted texture backdrop it has worked really well so I am hoping to achieve the same effect again.

Here is a first peek at the poster been painted up in photoshop.

Space Kitten backboard update

So finally between jobs I have had a chance to finish off the main artwork for the backboard of my Space Kitten mock pinball project.

Next will be the actual cabinet and lights.

Easter Casket – update teasers

The painted background has worked out really well , I was a bit concerned at first when I placed my pencil art over it as they where just black and white on this lush deep red backdrop, but once I started to drop in some colour and work up the image , everything started to settle in really nicely.

Here are two teaser images of the poster work in progress.

original comp ideas for the poster

So here is the sketch for the poster in progress.

I decide I wanted to created a nice textured backdrop , because I have a crucifix as part of the design I decided I will paint it into the backdrop and then fit my pencil to the painted backdrop.

This was the process to create the backdrop.

Gravity Ponds Poster Instraments of Torture

I was asked by the producer of this Australian Rap group to do a poster for them called Instruments of Torture. The idea I came up with was to have some sort of demonic chick riding a skull and using all sort of music instruments to torture the poor dude at the bottom of the image.

Here is the group website : http://www.reverbnation.com/gravityponds

Tennessee Murder Club

The guys form TMC asked me to do a wraparound cover for them. They gave me lots of free reign as to what I could do to the rest of the image, this was really fun tapping into the dark void for inspiration.

Dear God No! Done!

Another fun project wrapped up for non other than James Bickert the Director of  Dear God No! This was a really fun piece to do as I was given allot of freedom. I have also been given permission to do a limited poster run as well so look out for those, the posters will be hand silk screened like my other posters, but it will also have a Impalers approved stamp on the print as well , as if the Impalers themselves give this print the thumbs up.

And Here is the final poster artwork tadaaaaa:

And this is the wrap around cover artwork:
