Hi All
Well as most of you know Midway Newcastle is no more, but not to worry I have joined forces with a new comapny called http://atomhawk.com/, what is it you ask, basicaly we are a concepting solution to any game or film studio should they require our services, so if any of your art directors mention they need a concept solution, we are the guys to call (yes I know a bit of shameless promotion, but hey, you know you are going to get good work, this I can ashure you), but as always you have come to this site to see art, and art you shall see, so here are some more doodles from the sketchbook, I have a ton of other stuff I want to show, but at the moment everything is under NDA’s so for the moment I can only show personel stuff…..as allways enjoy.

Well as you all have heard by now, Midway Games is been sold and our fates are not very clear, only the game gods knows what will happen to us, but to appease these gods we here at the Midway Newcastle studio are trying our best to show what crazy skills we have at game development…so I know give you our latest project…..

Game Horizon Digital Battle

Hi All, sorry for the no-updates, but I have been swamped with work, but still had time for a little digital battle, here is a bit more info.
Game Horizon held their art battle competition at Dance City in Newcastle.

Eight contestants battled over three twenty minute rounds to see who was the fasted and best illustrator of the day.

At each round the artists had to complete a piece based on the brief and reference materials set by the panel of judges.
Half of the group was knocked out at the end of each round and the remainder went on to compete in the next round.

It was a good night overall with some free beer and a turnout of about 150. To cut a long and grueling take of battle short, the TV and design background of the judges favored Corlen’s superb iconic piece of design won him the trophy and prize!

So here are the art pices created in 20min each

So in between working on my posters I am also trying to spice up the old blogg site a little, so here is the new artwork I am going to use for the header of the site, it will be cropped, to fit the top, but I thought I would show the artwork before I work it into the final design for the website….anyways enjoy
